Position Summary:

The Sr. Quality Lead serves as the product quality expert for defined product line(s), and is responsible to support Quality Control in the areas of final BHR Review & Product Release, NCMR / CC / CAPA Investigations, Documentation Updates, and other activities that fall within their areas of product expertise as needed. In addition, the Sr. Quality Lead is responsible to train Quality Technicians on all shifts in the product quality requirements for their specific product lines of expertise, to properly document this training, and to assure effectiveness of this training through evaluation of competency.

Safety, cGMP and Operational Excellence

▪ Complies with all PPE requirements and coaches and supports all employees’ adherence.

▪ Helps to ensure that documentation practices comply with cGMP requirements – i.e., properly develops training materials & completes training records and eliminates sticky notes and other uncontrolled documentation where found.

▪ Learns to apply and support 5S, Lean, Visual Factory and other OpEx principles as they pertain to Quality Control/Quality Assurance.

Leadership

▪ Provides both formal training and informal guidance to Quality Technicians and coaches them to help them make more effective product quality decisions.

▪ Understands and helps to drive appropriate work priorities for Quality Training that assure competency of the Quality Technicians.

▪ Instills a culture of continuous improvement and helps ensure an appropriate sense of urgency in all aspects of Quality Assurance for their product line(s), including the effectiveness & efficiency of product quality decision making, BHR Review and product release, and the delivery of product quality training.

Communication

▪ Keeps Quality Engineer and Quality Assurance Manager updated on Quality issues and status, including BHR Review & Product Release and the delivery of product quality training.

▪ Provides guidance to Quality Technicians and creates an environment where input and feedback are encouraged and acted upon as appropriate.

▪ Coordinates with the Quality Engineer and Operations functions to provide effective support in Product Release, NCMR / CC / CAPA Investigations, Documentation Updates, and other activities as needed.

Systems and Equipment

▪ Performs BHR Review to support business priorities and verifies cGMP compliance, accuracy and that objective evidence of product quality have been properly documented (including C of C / C of A completion as applicable).

▪ Investigates NCMR & CC in accordance with associated procedures & work instructions when needed to support business priorities.

▪ Develops Training Materials to support effective training courses, and properly controls this material in NWQS in accordance with procedure.

▪ Conducts training classes, both classroom & OJT, and completes records of training and submits them for retention in the training database in a timely manner.

▪ Updates Defect Libraries as needed to document product quality decisions and communicate them to Quality Technicians and Inspectors for consistent future application.
