In this executive role, you will provide leadership for end-to-end activities focused on acquiring the best talent for Dematic in both existing and emerging markets. We are seeking a highly strategic and seasoned talent acquisition leader that is results-oriented and metrics-driven with the ability to build high performing teams on a global scale. This leader will enact strategies around direct sourcing methodology, selection processes, employment branding, strategic partnerships, assessments, implementation and utilization of applicant tracking systems, and consulting with and guiding hiring managers to ensure programs and systems are managed in ways that reflect our culture and values. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be USD $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:


  • Develop a global talent acquisition strategy that supports and accelerates the strategic growth plans of the business across all functions and regions, and supports the acquisition of critical business capabilities


  • Grow, lead, and develop a global recruiting and operations team that quickly responds to the ever-changing priorities of Dematic's high growth business and delivers high impact results


  • Build and maintain relationships with internal customers across the business as a trusted talent acquisition leader to ensure the ability to drive the attraction, recruiting and retention of top talent


  • Drive relationships and networks with targeted industries, professional associations, educational institutions and others to develop and maintain a pipeline of candidates


  • Manages and oversees all third-party (e.g., RPO, MSP, and vendor) interactions globally


  • Co-lead ongoing employment branding and EVP development efforts, taking the appropriate partnerships to bring our value proposition to life


  • Identify and implement key performance metrics for talent acquisition linked to critical business targets


  • Work closely with Human Resources leaders, HR Business partners and business leaders to create short- and long-term forecasting models and workforce hiring plans


  • Lead team members, design and delegate appropriate workloads, build development plans to ensure career success for TA team members


  • Build capability within the Talent Acquisition function to effectively spot, analyze, and inform HR leadership of market trends around hiring challenges, candidate attraction, compensation and provide suggested solutions to ensure Dematic remains an employer of choice


  • Develop strategic, proactive partnerships with the Dematic C-suite and their leadership teams



What We are Looking For:

Education and Critical Experiences:


  • BS/BA in related discipline required. Advanced degree in Human Resources, I/O, MBA, or related discipline highly desired


  • 15+ years of recruitment experience, with 10+ years of leadership experience


  • Experience scaling a global recruiting function during a period of very aggressive growth in a high paced environment


  • Experience operating in a globally matrixed organization


  • Deep and current knowledge of talent attraction partners (e.g. platforms, agencies)


  • Experience using metrics and analytics to lead an anticipatory hiring model (e.g. forecasting net and backfill hiring needs to ensure our team is resourced for the hiring needs)


  • Experience automating internal and external facing processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all personas in the TA process


  • Manage programs/tools related to Talent Acquisition: Applicant Tracking System, CRM, Recruiting Management Platform, Talent Brand and Employee Referral Program and Careers Site


  • Experience partnering with Talent Management to develop robust internal pipelines and recruitment processes and programs


  • Must demonstrate advanced proficiency with MS office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint



The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to quickly partner with leadership to develop a deep understanding of their business objectives and the role new talent will play


  • The ability to translate business requirements around staffing into actionable plans for the recruitment of capable and diverse candidates across the Dematic ecosystem


  • Strong talent advisor skills that can coach candidates and advise the business on Talent strategy


  • A knack for innovation, automation, and drive to push the status quo


  • Experience working with different recruiting tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Workday), CRMs, Talent Networks, etc.


  • Confidence interacting and presenting to all levels of management within the organization


  • Strong awareness of company brand and talent attraction approach


  • Determination to try new approaches when working with the business and an openness to being creative


  • Knowledge trends and industry best practices concerning all Talent Acquisition functions


  • Advanced knowledge regarding employment and immigration laws


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Must have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones


  • Ability to have fun and stay focused
