  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer or manufacturing/automation engineering, or a minimum of ten (10) years equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively work across various business and IT functions.
  • Ability to lead teams, directly and indirectly
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of business process analysis, design and implementation
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. These manufacturing systems are critical to our manufacturing plants to track inventory, ensure quality of shipped parts, and interface financial data to our ERP systems as well as integrate with other systems to ensure we ship conforming product to our customer and industry requirements.

This role requires extensive interaction with functional and IT resources across the business making effective communication skills essential. Project and support collaboration occurs daily with the plants and business unit functional teams across the globe. The qualified candidate must be a self-starter capable of managing medium sized projects, working independently, and leading a small team.

Position can be located at any Howmet Engines System location.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Provide day to day management to a small team of internal and external developers and support personnel.

  • Work directly with the plants to build requirements for business solutions, ensuring a common approach across the business unit.

  • Align with and deploy the long-term manufacturing systems vision for the business unit.

  • Provide application support within the business unit, including business process recommendations, application configuration, and application testing.

  • Execute job functions in alignment with all internal and external audit and compliance processes and requirements.
