POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a part of the Value-Based care program with the goal of improving health care for our customers by decreasing costs and increasing quality. As a Cigna Collaborative Care (CCC) Clinical Enablement team member, this position will require attention to clinical program operationalization and ongoing enhancements.

The primary role of this person is to develop an understanding of the Value-Based care clinical programs with a focus on Cigna Accountable Care (CAC) primary care programs, support the CAC providers as well as develop clinical tools for internal and external constituents to operationalize and enhance programs. Where needed, this person will design and build clinical interfaces between the healthcare providers, customers and Cigna clinicians to ensure a fully connected client, customer and healthcare provider experience.

This person will have CAC subject matter expertise; will be responsible in development of value based care clinical program training, work with multiple teams of internal business partners, be able to analyze results via CAC reports, and consult with external constituents managing the primary Value-Based care initiatives to drive improvements.Additionally, as a part of the Cigna Collaborative Care (CCC) Clinical Enablement Team, this position requires use of clinical skills to enable CAC program delivery, assess and document best practices that drive success in quality, affordability and experience of care.

This person may also direct a broad range of functions in support of policy/process improvement activities in a matrixed environment. Additional clinical responsibilities may include define and consult on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards and surveys across organization. Ensures projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other business and related projects. Oversees development of clinical policies, standards and procedures. Actions have significant impact on key business objectives to improve quality, affordability and healthcare experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the attainment of the Triple Aim goal by:

  • Develop knowledge competency of value based programs in order to supportclinical program advancement

  • Review, analyze clinical opportunities to reduce costs while increasing quality and share performance results with provider groups

  • Work as a clinical subject matter expert with internal constituents to drive CCC development and outcomes success

  • Oversee development of team capabilities to educate internal and external constituents to become proficient with CCC reports and tools

  • Facilitate training of Clinical teams, Healthcare Professional Solutions, contractors, provider relations representatives and other stakeholders on the use of programs and supporting tools

  • Oversee development of team capabilities to educate and work with external CCC partners to drive studies that identify actions that drive successful outcomes

  • Drive projects to improvement with measurable, sustainable results

  • Manage multiple, complex, time sensitive projects with numerous internal partners designed to deliver targeted outcomes

  • Coordination with all CIGNA stakeholders- particularly Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Field Medicalteams, Contracting and Global data and analytics.

  • Working in close partnership with Analytics, Product, and Clinical Program Development teams, plus Operational Leaders

  • Education of participating practices on CIGNA information and clinicalprograms

  • Develop CCC programtools

  • Facilitate internal and external meetings

  • Drive ongoing expansion of depth and breadth of the CCC program

  • Ensure establishment and enhancement of clinical and informatics integration

  • Ensure effective communication and training plans exist to support internal and external program constituents to ensure process integration to internal and external workflows

POSITION REQUIREMENTS


  • Registered Nurse with active unrestricted license.

  • Strongexperienceworking with healthcare provider/professionals, Clinical license required

    • Internal heavily involved stakeholders: medical directors, contractors, informatics

    • Internal stakeholders with need to know- senior management, sales, RFPunit etc.

    • External stakeholders: CCC executives and care coordination teams, others



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher education preferred

  • Strong analytical experience

  • Five years' experience in health care or health management operations, the health care industry and/or project management related work with strong demonstrated project management knowledge and experience

  • Strong matrix partnership collaboration skills

  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

  • Ability to think critically at both the strategic level and the tactical end-to-end business process level.

  • Knowledge of clinical care management programs and services.

  • Must be familiar with quality management principles and processes.

  • Proven track record of strong leadership, team-building experience, and demonstrated decision-making abilities

  • Experience in a managed care environment

  • Experience in strategic planning and business development

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and coach teams

  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, leadership, decision-making, and oral and written communication

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively relate to employees at all levels

  • Maintains and enthusiastically portrays an optimum level of conscientiousness for the growth and profit of CIGNA

  • A strong understanding of internal and external customer needs with a drive to create a winning environment

  • Commitment and interest in working with a team to achieve overall team results

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 105,500 - 175,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
