A doffer will remove yarn packages from the machine by stepping up a 12-inch catwalk step, allowing them to remove the completed yarn package at a vertical height from 56 inches to 68 inches above the 12-inch catwalk step. To doff the yarn package, the operator is required to place their hand in a palm-up position under the package that weighs 1.5-8.0 lbs and lift the package up to the conveyor belt, approximately a 10-inch travel distance. The employee’s arm assumes a full forward reach near shoulder level. The doffer is also responsible to thread up the winding machine, empty the spring bin located at the Murata operator’s workstation into bulk boxes, and repair broken ends as needed. 

What is my earning potential?

We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $16.80 with top pay up to $16.80. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premiums of $1.00 for 12-hour night shifts and $.80 for 8-hour/10-hour night shifts.

This is a 3rd shift position (8-hour shifts) Monday-Friday 12am to 8am.

• Push button to eject empty spring on puck from machine.


• Thread up winding machine as needed.
