PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for coordination of deviation management and technical and administrative functions related to donor care processes. Serves as department business area coordinator. Assists management in the successful achievement of collection goals and cost-effective operations. The goal of this work is to improve the effectiveness of processes and the delivery of services to departmental clients, increase the use and understanding of data for decision making, and facilitate support activities to help integrate the department's operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.  Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

Assures quality customer service to all internal and external customers.

Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.

Performs daily scanning and necessary follow up of documents to the Centralized Document Review (CDR) from Component Processing Location (CPL). Ensures all records are reviewed for accuracy and completeness prior to scanning and time frames are met as requested.

Ensures all Donor Care scheduled processes are reviewed prior to submittal to component processing lab (CPL) and centralized document review (CDR).

Performs analysis and follow-up of donor adverse events and ensures records are prepared for review. Updates System Tracking of Adverse Reactions (STAR) in Trackwise.

Ensures document control and maintains donor care department records per SOP. Updates records and ensures revision control. Ensures appropriate record retention and corrective action associated with records management.

Assists in, and initiates processes such as donor reinstatement, receiving and documenting post donation information, donor counseling for positive viral markers, BECS Corrections and record review.

Performs disposition of products in quarantine and e-Progesa system error resolution.

Assists in monitoring and entering deviations into the Trackwise system. Communicates problems to donor care management. Tracks trends in errors and communicates those to donor care management.

Monitors Customer Donor Comments and tracks and trends comments.

May assist in projects or new processes developed at Corporate.

Orders and distributes DIN’s.

Assists with report generation as needed.

Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education

High School graduate or GED required.

Licenses/Certifications

None

Experience

One year of experience in a blood center environment required

One of year experience performing automated procedures required.

Skills/Abilities

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 

Must be able to understand, follow, and give precise written and verbal instructions, and perform all activities safely.

Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.

Must have proficient computer skills.

Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

Effective oral and written communication skills.
