The starting pay for this position is $17 per hour.
These are entry level, daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor-led training will be provided. This position may require you to work weekends. Travel with company vehicle may be required at times (up to 100-mile radius of Grand Rapids).
A meter reader plays a key role in utility operations. Meter readers ensure accurate and timely billing of utility customers. Meter readers are assigned routes and must accurately and safely read electric meters. Basic skills needed are mobile phone skills, map reading, and routing.

Responsibilities:
Complete meter reads accurately and workload efficiently
Perform reads with safety in mind
Report any problems on a job site to an immediate supervisor
Keep lines of communication open with management
Be reassigned and willing to perform duties in new areas when asked
Respect and care for company issued equipment
Maintain a good attendance record
Perform other duties as assigned
What We Need from You (Our Requirements):
Familiarity using current technology; smartphone
Must be able to communicate in an effective manner in a one-on-one setting and while addressing a group
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred
Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed)
Must pass a drug screen
Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
