TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Manager- Logistics in Atlanta, GA.

Responsible for Logistics services utilized by the entire organization as well as the end-to-end value chain of supply management. Accountable for managing/mitigating complexity and risk to secure safe and efficient distribution of products and services to support a greater than $3 billion organization. The Senior Logistics Manager is ultimately accountable for engaging manufacturing, transportation, distribution, Field Installation, and PSM in proactively identifying, managing and designing the optimal distribution method of products and services for the organization. This individual may also deal with significant issues that impact the timely and cost-efficient installation or services of elevators, such as transportation availability/service selection, shipping preference, supply chain service quality, emergency and disaster response management, recalls, hazardous waste and end of life issues for items. This includes all lines of TKE business for New Installation, Modernization, and Service & Repair.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Serve as Logistics Cluster Team Member representing North America responsible for developing strategy development, cross collaboration with other TKE entities, producing and maintaining synergies, negotiating contracts, and logistics process improvement

  • Serve on the NA Logistics Council managing contract negotiation & improvement strategies for Small Parcel, Airfreight, less than Truckload (LTL), and Ocean Freight covering $20 Million in Spend for the Operating Units U.S. Field, U.S. Manufacturing, and Canada

  • Steer and influence cross functional Operating Unit Logistics Managers by developing targets, objectives, and strategies that will contribute to

  • Actively manage $20 million dollars in Logistics Spend for Elevator North

  • Attain open communication channels and collaboration between Global/ International suppliers and TKE team.

  • Participate on implementation project teams and develop strategies that improve efficiencies and drive bottom line

  • Develop Synergy Growth Partners (preferred suppliers) for North America and support strong Procurement

  • Grow the managed spend with preferred suppliers to meet targets that improve EBIT

  • Manage relative E-Auction targets for North America

  • Responsible for managing all modes of shipments including Less than Truck Load (LTL), Full Truck Load, Rail, Small Parcel, Domestic and International Airfreight, 3rd party logistics, and all Ocean Freight for North

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (based on Key Performance Indicators) with each carrier, review areas of strength and weakness with action items for carrier development and facilitate contract management.

  • Develop cost savings strategies by evaluating business needs, market opportunities and carrier's spend data.

  • Create business case and cost structure analysis for senior level management on Logistics functions and collaborate cross functionally on other business cases

  • Coordinate warehousing functions including shuttle runs for US

  • Manage inbound Logistics to tkE manufacturing for both domestic and international

  • Cross functionally work with Spare Parts to optimize Logistics costs for field service spare

  • Handle freight claims across all modes of transportation in North America

  • Maintain/monitor aging reports ensuring that accounts payables are processed by net

  • Process exception invoices as needed to reduce aging

Who we are looking for


  • Bachelor's degree required (preferred fields of study Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations

  • Management). Master's degree and/or APICS certification a plus

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Management experience is

  • Thorough understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain

  • Demonstrate a positive "can do" self-starter attitude; must be motivated, goal oriented and

  • Must be team oriented and have the ability to partner, lead, and motivate

  • MS Office Suite skills

  • Oracle or SAP experience is

  • Project Management skills

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work and collaborate with employees and customers inside and outside the business

  • Ability to travel up to 30%
