Summary:


Improves clinical processes and outcomes; collects, validates and analyzes relevant data; facilitates interdisciplinary groups established to promote evidence-based change; identifies appropriate tools to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction and improvements to specific initiatives; develops tools that will be useful to those working independently on projects; provides data to external regulatory groups relevant to certification and accreditations; works within the context of the organization's goals; facilitates, measures and reports sequential improvements leading to fully realized strategic improvements; seeks relevant and appropriate sources of comparison and works to continuously build and refine these sources; identifies with and reports measures to faculty, staff and administration, the Board of Directors, payors, external advisory, accrediting and regulatory groups.




Qualifications:


Required Education and Experience


1. Bachelor's degree in a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in health care data analysis or clinical environment that includes data analysis; or
2. Associate's degree in a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in health care data analysis or clinical environment that includes data analysis; or
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in health care data analysis or clinical environment that includes data analysis.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.



Preferred Qualifications:



The preferred candidate will possess a NY RN license. The preferred candidate will have experience in data analysis, quality improvement projects and have relevant and current nursing experience in the healthcare setting. The preferred candidate will have experience in committee and project facilitation.
