What we do
The Performance Improvement Practice works with Private Equity and Corporate clients in Singapore and all over the world. We offer end-to-end services throughout the investment life cycle by furnishing transaction advisory, performance improvement, turnaround, interim and crisis management. Our areas of expertise include pre-M&A due diligence, merger integration, post-M&A growth strategy, corporate finance advisory, organizational and cost transformation, supply chain and manufacturing operational improvement, interim and crisis management, and CFO finance leadership. We differentiate ourselves by the result-driven approach, the hands-on mindset, and the ability to provide leadership amidst complex situations.
A&M is rapidly expanding in Southeast Asia and seeking to hire Senior Directors who will be responsible for leading a diverse range of complex client assignments alongside other experienced professionals. We are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record of value creation with a blend of operational and commercial skills, an entrepreneurial approach and networks across Southeast Asia.
The Senior Director will help expand the business through marketing and selling work, managing relationships and leading projects, and recruiting and developing a team of capable consultants. On business development, the Senior Director will build and leverage a network of potential client decision-makers, develop marketing strategies and supporting content and communicate with the A&M network and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Building a robust yet flexible plan to generate both deal flow and develop a sustainable business, externally and internally
Grow our practice through strengthening our practice, broadening out our routes to market, developing and leveraging senior relationships and working with our global partnership group
Plan accounts strategy for long-term profitable growth and position A&M as a thought partner and business leader within the account
Selling and delivering ODDs, 100-day planning, post-merger integration and performance improvement mandates
Contribute strongly to business development activity including developing successful pitches and selling, on from the initial "diagnostic" project phase into implementation work
Managing rapid diagnostics through analytical and qualitative insight to identify opportunities to transform an organization's current performance
Subsequent implementation of the opportunities through development and execution of a transformation plan tied closely to EBITDA and working capital improvement
Post-merger integration and performance improvement
Evaluating both cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities
Leading post-acquisition work to ensure that our Operational Due Diligence reports are realized in full and in the shortest possible time
Developing detailed and robust methodology to ensure that the in the first 100 days total clarity and ownership is created throughout the organization, a clear path to delivering the growth and cost reduction developed and the identified quick wins delivered
Encompassing in the 100-day planning process the merger of two organizations for which a specific methodology has been developed
Work with clients through the full spectrum of complex issues that arise in operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics and purchasing
Leading and managing teams across multiple workstreams and disciplines to drive a consolidated transformation for clients
Drive quick initial short-term gains in order to release cash to invest in longer transformation targets
Developing and implementing a new operating plan to improve the business operational performance
The successful candidate will be an expert in design and delivery of organizational change and transformational programs at C-suite and board level. In addition, this role will be responsible for generating business development and proactive client relationship management. Essential & Desirable requirements below:
Essential
Be able to demonstrate a successful track record in converting business contacts and leads into sustainable, profitable revenue streams;
Must have successful and significant experience in the selling, diagnostics & delivery of and performance improvement mandates in a top tier strategy firm, leading specialist and/or niche advisory firm or 'Big 4' consultancy
Relevant experience in Operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, purchasing and logistics
A recent track record of successfully leading teams & delivering major transformational assignments with a proven record of achieving agreed benefits
Possess excellent financial & business and/or financial modelling skills. Can conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base and major operational issues
Experienced in resolving complex operational and financial problems including implementing cost reductions and operational improvements
Willingness to travel to client sites, across Southeast Asia or beyond, at short notice as part of the working week
Strong analytical skills and deep dive analysis
Fluency to a business level in both verbal and written English
A persuasive and effective communicator & stakeholder manager who can engage effectively with leadership teams in pressure situations and influence at Board level
Desirable:
MBA or other advanced degree or certification preferred but not required;
Additional ASEAN language verbal and written fluency are highly desirable (Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, Thai, or Vietnamese)
Have a varied cross sector background including telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, energy, retail, consumer goods, transportation, business services and healthcare
Experience in operational KPIs, Balance Score Cards, and a reporting/ review process to ensure continuous improvement of the operational performance of the business
