Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Patching Team Manager to join the CTO Operations team. The Patch Manager will report to the Senior Director - IT Operations (CTO), and work closely with 3rd line support/Engineering teams and the Team leads. You will be heading up the patching team and have both direct and indirect members of staff reporting to you.

Responsibilities:


  • Own the firms patch management solution and work with other teams to ensure the firms patch policy is adhered too.

  • Set up and maintain a robust rollout schedule to all the firm's servers in a hybrid status (both cloud and on-prem)

  • Ensure that ridged SLA & OLA's are achieved as the firm has an aggressive patch cycle to meet.

  • Work with the security team to remediate any identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner

  • Recruitment of the staff within your team

  • Manage the environment ensuring proactive monitoring, health checks to ensure resilience, stability, and consistency of the business-as-usual environment.

  • Works cooperatively, collaboratively and transparently with all associated organizations.

  • Prioritize team assignments and delegate tasks on a regular basis.

  • Perform periodic system usage review and incident review to recommend and identify enhancement requirements.

  • Participate internal and external system audit.

  • Responsible for the overall admin of the team, including holidays, sickness and performance

  • Flexibility - Some weekends and out of hours may be required.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Have extensive working experience of patching of all areas, Servers, PC's, Applications

  • Have working experience with systems under SOX compliancy or other auditing requirements

  • ISO27001 awareness

  • We are mainly a windows house (so this is a must have), but also have some Linux environments (seen as a bonus have).

  • Extensive knowledge of Azure is preferred, however a similar cloud experience will be considered

  • Previous experience with people management is preferred

  • Licensing awareness is a must have, as you will play a large role in the annual 'True Ups'

  • Good time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects/activities.

  • Have working experience with System Admin team and process to be able to facilitate and guide the communication and interaction between business owners and system users.

  • Comfortable in a high-pressure environment.

  • Strong cross team collaboration skills.

  • Good security awareness

  • University degree in Computer Science or other relevant discipline or 10 Years IT experience

  • Experience with writing code is a bonus
