We are seeking a Supervisor, Product Configuration. This role will ensure a highly structured and best in class documentation process for products, configurations, options and accessories produced by Nuvera. Ensures product stakeholders follow established processes & procedures for product introduction and changes. The product configuration supervisor provides administrative oversight of the product life management system (PLM).
Essential Job Responsibilities:
General Configuration Management and Design support of:
• Product configuration change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
• Quality of all design documents and changes
• Provides non-standard guidance for non-cad and supporting product documentation.
• Controls drawings and documents to depict all requirements for product manufacturing.
• Ensures and controls document record keeping for specifications, assembly drawings, schematics and related documents for components, raw materials, parts and products for the purpose of:
a) Establishing bills of materials.
b) Creating related product instruction sheets.
c) Development of shop floor process work instructions
d) Engineering Specifications
e) conformance to product regulatory requirements
Utilizing the part numbering process, assigns Part Numbers as required.
Engineering Change Review Board (ECRB)
• Product engineering changes
• New Product introduction
• Supports the ECRB team meetings (including assisting and acting as back-up for meeting Chair)
• Responsible for the design of Engineering Change (EC) process. Including preliminary reviews, investigation as to feasibility, cost impact, obsolescence costs, resources required, systematic and timely release and distribution of ECN's, establishing and maintaining follow-up on action items.
• Leads/Participates in the Engineering Change Notice review board and document release processes.
• Responds to internal & external requests for engineering, manufacturing and ISO documentation.
• Works with the supply chain to verify commercial availability of materials and components. Including compliance to RoHS, REACH, WEEE and Conflict Minerals regulations.
Nuvera PLM System (ARAS)
• Ownership of Nuvera PLM system
• Administration and maintenance of the PLM (ARAS) for configuration, environments, and licenses.
• PLM data accuracy and completeness of documentation including ECRs, change notices, etc.
• Engineering change metrics, continually measure and reports on the PLM system.
• Chair PLM Governing Board after implementation (continuous feedback)
• Automate processes whether standardized through workflows, templates, reports and other means.
• Responsible for the establishment of a training plan for new & current employees for the PLM system, including setting up training with the vendor, assuring the correct software is installed and a checklist for the new employee.
