The IT Data Analyst is responsible for converting the raw data generated by business processes into meaningful insights to empower business users to make better decisions that help drive the organization forward. To be effective in this role, the Data Analyst will need to be able to quickly understand business issues and data challenges within the organization. This role will be instrumental in performing technical activities such as compiling data from multiple sources, data modeling, key metric definition, and predictive analytics, as well as business activities such as requirement gathering, project management, and communication of results to important business stakeholders. This position will report primarily to the IT Manager, BI/Data Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop machine learning and statistical models to identify patterns and predict future outcomes (Time Series Forecasting, Regression, Supervised, Classification, Supervised and Unsupervised Learning)
Develop data models and compelling reports that accurately measure outcomes of business processes across the organization
Queries and validates data across multiple data sources with a strong focus on data integrity and security
Develop business requirements as a result of client engagements and business issues.
Develop data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Work with management team to outline specific data needs in driving Lean and process improvement activities
Document issues, activities, and solutions employing industry best practices.
Research the latest techniques and best practices around data analytics
Provide software usage expertise for Bray reporting applications.
Conduct end user training for key BI systems and reporting applications as needed.
Review and test systems for conformance to functional and performance requirements.
Effectively handle aggressive deadlines and shifting priorities to quickly assess and resolve issues.
Interface with business leaders and IT teams to ensure projects and systems are delivered to end user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, MIS, or related field
2+ years of experience in Data Analyst or related role preferred
Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI)
Proficient with SQL
Proficient with Python
Experience with DAX (Preferred)
Expert level knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, PowerQuery, PowerPivot)
Experience building data models
Experience with other statistical programming strongly preferred (R, SAS, etc.)
Experience with Docker and Linux (Preferred)
Experience in development with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Independent, self-motivated, team player
Strong leadership skills
Prior experience working with ERP, CRM, and CPQ systems strongly preferred
