The Truck Driver/ Warehouse Clerk performs dual functions of performing warehouse tasks, as well as freight delivery via truck. This is a full time position with scheduled time performing both categories of work each day. Position responsible for receiving, sorting and placing on shelving delivered goods. Performs picking of goods from warehouse based on pick lists and/or empty supply bins. Stages goods for delivery to company sites. Loads and secures freight on truck. Performs daily delivery of goods to company sites by operating truck. Strong focus on road/ vehicle safety as well as proper body mechanics while lifting/moving goods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in receiving goods and mail at receiving area.


• Ensures that delivered items with a purchase order are received into computerized financial system.


• Signs for incoming parcels.


• Prepares mail, packages, parcels and return items for outgoing shipment.


• Picks goods from warehouse for delivery to sites based on pick lists or Kanban signal


• Stages goods in an organized fashion for that day's freight delivery


• Loads truck with outbound goods and properly secures freight load


• Responsible for safely delivering all outgoing goods to the appropriate company locations via truck as scheduled


• Unloads relevant freight for each location, placing goods where directed. Picks up and loads exchange carts and other items as necessary


• Keeps vehicle clean


• Communicates to supervisor any need for maintenance or repairs.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills, accurate data entry required.


• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook.Basic typing skills.


• Ability to work independently with focus and initiative, organized.


• Ability to work well with people, vendors, and other departments.

• High School degree or equivalent.


• Valid Washington State driver's license with no restrictions and ability to meet the Vancouver Clinic driving requirements required.


• Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by Vancouver Clinic.


• Must be able to meet physical demands of position.


• Employee motor vehicle record must meet acceptability standards regarding violations/accidents.


• Two years experience driving, CDL preferred but not required.


• Previous experience with receiving and distribution preferred.
