Type: Full-Time
Location: Conroe, Texas

Job Description:

Since 1858, Hajoca has been blending the strengths and clout of a large company with freedom and opportunity for employees. The company will continue to grow and prosper because our fundamental business philosophy works: emphasis on entrepreneurial spirit, expert knowledge, strong incentives for our employees, and devotion to Hajoca's proven business principles of "Service, Integrity, Reliability."

DIVISIONAL RECRUITER

Do you like meeting new people?

Are you good at forming relationships?

Are you organized and looking to make a difference?

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a bright, friendly and driven recruiter to support its growing management needs in the 10 state division (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama). Started in 1858, Hajoca is a stable and prosperous company with a rich history. However, Hajoca is anything but an old-fashioned place to work. Picturing a stuffy and formal corporate setting with layers of management and politics? Think again! Hajoca believes in a market driven model where decisions are made at the local level and those in a corporate position serve as a support system and a resource. This means that as a recruiter, you will be given guidance and direction, and access to any resources you need, but you have the ability to be creative in your approach to finding candidates and act on your own ideas. All while working with a tremendous leadership team devoted to Hajoca's proven business principles of integrity, reliability, and excellent service.

The recruiter for this Division will join 3 other recruiters, and be responsible for finding and acquiring top talent to achieve divisional recruiting objectives by sourcing and evaluating entry-level and experienced college graduates, planning and implementing recruiting campaigns and strategies, developing and utilizing evaluation materials, and accumulating and analyzing recruiting and retention statistics.

Job Duties Include:

  • Collaborate with Region Managers and Recruiting Manager to determine recruiting strategy; work in conjunction with the team to establish recruiting goals.

  • Establish candidate qualifications by developing knowledge, skill, and screening questions. Conduct applicant screenings, resume searches, and interviews. Coordinate the pre-employment assessment process, including applicant tracking reporting.

  • Identify recruiting sources by studying college programs and demographics, interviewing college career services staff and professors, and matching job requirements with likely candidate sources.

  • Once a campus is identified as a strong source, build relationships with faculty and students. Establish a campus brand by participating in campus recruiting events, making presentations, and promoting the company and opportunity in a way that draws interest with students.

  • In addition to college campuses, find additional sources for potential candidates and identify and interview candidates from these additional sources.

  • Work candidates through the interview process by being the primary point of contact and coordinating with all team members involved in each step.

  • Extend employment offers by selling organization values, strengths, and opportunities. Maintain contact with candidates until they accept or decline the offer. Expectation is 10 hires per year.

  • Develop recruiting presentations by collecting, designing, and preparing written and visual materials.

  • Use applicant tracking software (Dayforce and Salesforce) to post jobs to boards and maintain candidate files per company requirements.

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize recruiting and retention data and trends for periodic meetings and trainings with senior leaders and Region Managers.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Read professional publications, maintain personal networks, and participate in professional organizations.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with trainees that are on boarded. Serve as a sounding board for them and report any positive or negative feedback to the proper leadership.

This career opportunity is full time, Monday through Friday, from approximately 8 AM to 5 PM when not traveling. It does involve travel within the Division to participate in off-site recruiting and other events which might result in working evenings or early mornings, but no weekends.
