Role:
Three week program for UMD and George Mason students to complete a project within our Network group.
Responsibilities
Focus on delivering a solution for the three-week project you and your teammates will be working on
Focus on growing as a young professional – learn the engineering rigor necessary to support application reliability, scalability, maintainability, extensibility, portability, and security.
Develop your productivity skills by learning source control, editors, the build pipeline, and other tools, as well as testing best practices
Tackle well-defined tasks, commit, and deliver with the guidance of project leaders
Develop your knowledge of a single component of our software architecture and branch out into other areas as your grow as a software engineer

Education/Certifications
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university
Experience/Minimum Requirements
Software development lifecycle: design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support.
Agile software development methodologies, Microservices, Event driven architecture and object-oriented programming methodologies
Software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and demeanor
Reports to: Network organization leadership
