Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for experienced Physical Therapists to join our team!

Employment Type:
Per Diem - provide coverage as needed during the week and weekends

The Physical Therapist applies the principles, methods and procedures of physical therapy. Tests, measures and evaluates patients ranging from adolescent to geriatrics with movement dysfunction. Implements treatment programs to identify, prevent, correct and alleviate acute or prolonged movement dysfunction or anatomic or physiologic origin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Employs and interprets various tests and measurements accurately during Physical Therapy Evaluation and treatment including, but not limited to goniometry, manual muscle testing, balance testing and screening, gait deviation, transfer and bed mobility ability, sensation, coordination, tone, abnormal movement patterns, pain, and skin integrity.

  • Interprets Physical Therapy evaluation findings to patients, family significant others, and the care team.

  • Reassesses patients and Physical Therapy treatment plan at appropriate intervals.

  • Reports significant findings regarding the patient's status.

  • Recommends appropriate follow-up care.

  • Recommends discontinuation of Physical Therapy services when the patient has achieved the desired goals or has received the maximum benefit from the services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved program in Physical Therapy required.

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Delaware required.

  • Previous rehab and/or acute care experience highly preferred
