We are looking for a talented senior copywriter to join our marketing team and help tell Lucid's story. In this position, you will collaborate with the rest of the content marketing team to create and publish content promoting Lucid and its products.


Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling messaging that helps our users and prospective customers see how Lucid products empower them to see and build the future.
  • Write short-form copy such as taglines, ads, website copy, emails, and social posts to support a wide range of initiatives, including demand generation, brand awareness, thought leadership, customer engagement, and more.
  • Act as a strategic consultant to members of the marketing team and other teams at Lucid in order to create content that elevates our brand and achieves key business goals.
  • Partner with the brand creative team to brainstorm concepts for videos, events, integrated campaigns, and other projects.
  • Review content from teams across Lucid to ensure the content is consistent with our brand standards and tone.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Lucid, its products, and its core audience in order to effectively attract and retain new customers.
  • Use persona-driven storytelling to resonate with audiences, drive excitement around our product, and increase registrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or another relevant field, with strong academic performance
  • 4+ years of digital content creation experience, creative or brand copywriting preferred
  • At least one year of writing for tech, B2B, and/or SaaS
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, including ability to navigate between different tones and audiences
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize several concurrent projects
  • Ability to work with data to determine the success of various pieces of content
  • A basic understanding of Lucidchart and Lucidspark, with a strong desire to learn more about them
  • Ability to problem-solve and take initiative with minimal guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a content management system (e.g., Drupal, Wordpress)
  • Familiarity with major style guides (i.e., AP Style, Chicago Manual)
