Description
The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking licensed Mental Health Practitioners for the full-time position of Behavioral Health Practitioner for the Division of Behavioral Health at Lincoln Regional Center.


Hiring Rate: Pay commensurate with licensure. PLMHP: $22.534 LMHP: $26.435 LMHP/PLADC: $28.417 LMHP/LACD or LIMHP: $30.548.
Additional $3.00/hour facility differential for hours worked.
Examples of Work
Provides individual and or group therapy according to the individual treatment plan. Shares clinical observations with the treatment team. Compiles patient individual and group progress notes, documenting according to LRC Standards and DHHS/LRC policies and procedures. Treatment planning; Prepares for interdisciplinary treatment planning, actively participates in planning, contributing therapists perspective and recommendations. Participates in team and or clinical meetings to address program concerns and needs. Maintains current certifications and licensure. Participates in performance improvement. Attends and participates in program planning committees, in-service training and monthly LMHP department meetings. Presents and participates in peer reviews to demonstrate competency.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner or possess another license that allows the incumbent to provide the above mental health services as required by NE. Rev. Statute 38-2122. Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Development, Psychology, Family Relations, Vocational Rehabilitation, Art Therapy, Divinity, Human Resources, Naturopathy, Mental Health or other field approved by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in order to become a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner AND 3000 hours of post-degree supervised counseling experience. Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.


PREFERRED: Experience working with major mental illness populations. Experience providing individual and group therapy.


OTHER: License eligible candidates must be actively pursuing licensure to become fully licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner within a period not to exceed two years from date of hire, by providing mental health services under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner or other qualified professional.
