JOB SUMMARY The Automation Tester II team member will be responsible for the automated testing of internal and external-facing applications developed by the company and third-party vendors through automation and an understanding of the software release cycle. This will include the development of testing scripts, pipelines, and tools that help assist the testing team in identifying critical issues with a release quickly. This also includes continually building knowledge of our systems, submitting bugs found, and general troubleshooting and support. JOB DUTIES Essential duties and responsibilities will be performed in a timely manner and according to company policy. * Developing test automation scripts to support system testing and stability (C# needed). * Developing DevOps pipelines to automate sanity and other testing. * Developing back-end website applications to support the testing team. * Building general knowledge of our systems to understand the criteria behind the tests. * Test and evaluate new releases based on the software release cycle. * Execute testing on test cases and business process scenarios in both Alpha and UAT environments. * Verify test results using system documentation, knowledge, and understanding of system requirements. * Create, submit, and follow up on bugs that are submitted to the development team and/or business analysts related to automation and its results. * Break down business processes and investigate issues as they are identified. * Be detail-oriented, analytical, and quickly comprehend new processes, systems and software. * Work well within a diverse team setting and work collaboratively with other departments and roles. * Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market. * Work with the software development team to determine and resolve issues. * Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming. * Work with internal application development teams to develop interface analysis and system processing methods and solutions. * Assisting with training of Tier I individuals if needed. * All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Three or more years of experience testing in a technology environment such as automation testing, software development, or systems analysis. * Proficient with the concept of object-oriented language (C# framework used). * Experience with test automation scripting in general (Selenium preferred). * Experience with Visual Studio IDE and Git branch methodology. * Experience with SQL scripting/queries. * Experience with Azure (DevOps, Pipelines, AAD, Cosmos, App Insights). * Enterprise financial applications (Microsoft Dynamics SL, Workday). * Experience with identifying and documenting product bugs and/or user stories. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, clients, vendors, and internal staff. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
