As the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, you’ll play a central role in the administrative and clinical operations of the nursing and caregiving staff at this medical center nestled in the heart of the Central Valley. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ACNO will act as a staff leader and mentor for nurses from each of the hospital’s departments.

Working in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Department, the ACNO will develop and maintain annual budgets for the various inpatient units, including the Emergency Department, the Women’s Services Department, Acute & Critical Care, and Post-Acute. Overall budgetary responsibility, personnel development, and ensuring compliance with TJC and state regulations will be frequent and pressing priorities. You won’t be alone in all of this, however. The ACNO will be supported by a full cadre of specialized and certified registered nurses, educators, and support technologists.

Clinically, the Assistant CNO will play just as important a role. You’ll develop and support educational and inspirational initiatives to exceed the every growing needs of a blossoming community. With strong inpatient nursing management and multi-unit experience, you’ll excel at serving as the resident expert on a wide-range of clinical subjects. The ACNO will work to ingrain the importance of evidence-based practice on the nursing staff, and you’ll develop methods to recognize the nurses that make up this family of caregivers.
