Logistics System Specialist (Experienced Level Professional)

Provide systems support at the newest Michelin Distribution Center located between Greenville and Spartanburg, SC. This is a state-of-the-art semi-automated facility, the largest warehouse operation in the tire industry. This site handles all types and sizes of tires (passenger, light truck, truck, two-wheels), serving replacement and original equipment customers in the US and globally.

The role would be responsible for the uptime and performance of IT equipment and applications that support site operations of this automated facility. This includes network infrastructure maintenance and operations support of the current equipment and evolving technologies. Participate in implementations or evolutions of automation software/application and manage security updates. Facilitate communication across multiple companies and vendors for troubleshooting and deployment of solutions between applications and site functions.


• Ensure the highest user satisfaction at world class service levels

• Facilitate the links required for site data analysis and BI development.

• Support performance and conformity of high end IT equipment.

• Manage the balance between resources, cost of IT services, diagnostic quality, hotlines and support.

• Maintain technical and operational documentation.

• Define and apply the maintenance plan of equipment.


  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience in IT support

  • Min. 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Candidate must have experience in Help Desk or IT support within a corporate network.

  • Candidate must be a fast learner in order to develop new skills as automation continues to evolve at our manufacturing sites.

  • Development experience preferred: SQL, BI, Kibana, Python
