This community hospital has been a stable of the community for many years, and it’s outstanding reputation for patient satisfaction, high-quality outcomes, and award winning specialty care is well earned. The Clinical Laboratory Operations Manager will join a medical center with an excellent reputation, and will lead a world class team of Laboratory professionals.

Reporting to the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services, this is an excellent growth opportunity for an incoming Laboratory Operations Manager to grow and develop, earning progressive titles and oversight. Supported by one MLS Technical Supervisor, as well as four Section Leads, specializing in the different workflows of Clinical Laboratory, you’ll lead a team of over 20 ASCP certified employees.

A team-based approach to this large, diverse laboratory staff is crucial for guaranteeing continued buy-in, trust, and efficiency from each member. You’ll serve as a mentor and leader to a very capable team, providing regular training, upskilling, and coaching to help the staff continually advance. On the other hand, this person will also take on very important administrative duties. You’ll oversee budget development and maintenance, labor management, and regulatory accreditation operations.

South Texas is well known for its beauty, peace, and quiet. With thousands of acres of National and State Forests, a beautiful coastline, an affordable cost-of-living, fantastic schools, and tightknit communities, it’s no surprise that people never want to leave. The Laboratory Manager is an outdoorsy type, you will find hiking, biking, boating, and just about everything else that can be done under the sun. For the city folks, all the lights, sounds, and action of the Houston Area are just a short drive away.

The Laboratory Manager will play a large role for this community healthcare network. You’ll manage a team who works directly with patients, you’ll liaise with a diverse array of healthcare providers, and you’ll support the strategic mission of this network. You, in turn, will be supported by a generous benefits package, and a competitive compensation.
