Work with customers, suppliers' and employees, both internal and external, to meet requirements of on-time deliveries without error or damage on every shipment, while maintaining outside warehousing transportation and labor cost at or below budget.
Lead the Ardagh Safety Programs and model proper safety behaviors.
Perform daily production counts.
Determine best location for storing product to maximize space and convenience.
Assign and coordinate shipments with transportation companies.
Assign shipping and warehousing locations, coordinate shipping releases with customers and plant shipping employees, and adjust shipping schedule as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
Effectively manage direct reports, provide coaching, skills development opportunities, and cross-functional training.
Utilize class tracking systems (ERP, WMS, WM, AGV, etc.) to provide company with maximum visibility and ability to make timely and informed decisions with finished goods inventory toward customer fulfilment.
Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Business or Management preferred with 2-4 years' experience.
Will consider expanded related equivalent experience in place of degree. Must include distribution-center warehousing and shipping in a union environment experience.
Must have excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel Power Point and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) - SAP software required.
Experience with WMS is a must.
Strong communication and organizational skills required as well as excellent supervisory skills. Must have excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills.
Must be self-motivated. Must have basic computer skills and have knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Applications.
