Overview:



The Senior Special Materials Analyst provides Logistical and Supply Chain support to the MSC, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and MSC Ship Operating Companies. Specific areas include Inventory levels, customer support, stock replenishment and shelf life management.



Primary Responsibilities:




  • Assists in the management of centrally managed stock in support of AT/FP, CBRD, DC, MED, and SOLAS programs.
  • Monitors warehouse inventory for declining threshold levels and ensures prompt restocks.
  • Identifies material shortages for all MSC customer vessels, allocating material accordingly.
  • Oversees all customer inquiry responses, feedback reports, vessel configuration records, and program metrics for each respective program.
  • Interfaces with senior leadership, other agency representatives, and vendors on all logistical aspects of each area.



Supervisory Responsibilities:


Yes - Supervises Special Materials Analyst



Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 7 years' technical experience relevant to logistics systems and data management expertise executing ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing MSC/Navy databases/systems such as CMLS, ShipCLIP, R-Supply, WinMASP, or CDMD-OA
  • 5 years' specialized experience in Pharmaceuticals or Chemical-Biological Defense Logistics.
  • Experience in developing metrics, pivot tables, graphs to support logistics Key Performance Indicators.

Skills with specific tools, software, equipment, skills that are required

Abilities to understand spoken direction, abilities to read directions, ability to work as a team-player, ability to multi-task



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


Driver's License


Security Clearance:


SECRET Level Required
  • Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.



Physical Demands:


Must lift up to 40lbs, sit, answer the phone, type on a keyboard and move files

None


Work Environment:


Office environment and working inside warehouse.
