Location: Boston, Massachusetts
The Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Community Health Worker to deliver the Positive Minds Strong Bodies mental health and disability prevention intervention to diverse elders. The incumbent will take part in the following key roles:
-Recruit, screen and interview potential participants from clinical and community-based settings
-Participate in required training certification for the intervention, including conducting practice and pilot cases
-Deliver mental health intervention sessions and control calls for adult and elder participants. The intervention is offered for English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese-speaking participants, and can be delivered in person and by phone or zoom.
-Participate in weekly supervision calls and take part in quality control of sessions to ensure continuous training and fidelity to the intervention
- Collect and maintain audio-recordings and track and upload materials for participants
- Work with research staff to follow up with intervention patients who have been hard to reach
-Take part in other activities as needed including transcriptions and translation
Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Comfortable with technology and willingness to learn new technology
Ability to work well as a member of a team
Interest in addressing mental healthcare disparities
Attention to detail
Bachelor's degree required.
Access to a car is preferred for home visits of participants.
