Take advantage of this opportunity to join our high-functioning Heart Center Surgical ICU team, managing complex cardiac surgery patients in an environment where an emphasis is placed on a consistent and sustainable work -life balance. We are now offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grad NPs and $20,000 for experienced APPs who
are new to the MGH system, based on eligibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of patients on the Cardiac Surgical Service, under the general supervision and direction of the Cardiac Surgeons. Responsibilities include participating in daily rounds with nurses, other Advanced Practice staff, residents and multidisciplinary caregivers; performing bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, participating in the development and implementation of care plans, coordinating tests and consultations, implementing treatment plans, communicating with referring physicians, performing patient education, and preparing patients for discharge, all while keeping Surgeons updated as required.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a registered nurse in the expanded role.

  • Master's degree in Nursing.

  • National certification in acute care advanced practice nursing.
