Responsibilities



The RN Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients, families, and TRHMC, in order to obtain solutions to non medical problems, complaints, and unmet needs for service and support. The Patient Advocate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance appropriate to the age of the patient.

Qualifications




Education Requirements


  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Certification and Licensure:

  • PA RN license

Experience

  • Experience working in a hospital, longterm care or similar setting in an advocate capacity



  • Knowledgeable of hospital laws and regulations

  • Knowledge of patient care processes and patient complaint management

  • Ability to diffuse difficult siutations

Required Skills

  • Knowledgeable of hospital laws and regulations
