Provides administrative oversight and managerial support for a basic or population science department; coordinates the operational program, research operations, and fiscal management of the assigned department; administers a PhD education program in collaboration with the Roswell Park Department of Education; assumes responsibility for CCSG program administration with assigned department faculty; provides administrative oversight of one shared resource facility.


Required Education and Experience

1. Master's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in business, scientific or academic administration including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in business, scientific or academic administration including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate should have experience with visa applications and processing, grants management (budgets, grant proposals, budget projections) and managing legal contracts and agreements. In addition, the preferred candidate should have supervisory experience and experience with computer platforms such as Workday, Merlin, Dashboard, e-certs, ASSIST, etc.
