As the Cook, you will:
... be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and presenting the highest quality meals according to individual resident dietary needs and state regulations. You will also be responsible for oversight of dining staff and maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
What you’ll do here:
Plan, modify, and develop menus and prepare meals from standardized and local recipes
Ensure correct preparation, portioning, and serving in a safe and sanitary manner
Coordinate and prepare all meals for the community and events
Oversee all kitchen management including food ordering, receiving, and inventory, budgeting, and scheduling
Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards, ensuring that all work/storage areas are clean, safe, free of hazards and properly arranged
Manage resident food preferences by capturing feedback through table visits and menu chats/food committee meetings
Ensure compliance with Enlivant, state, local, and regulatory food service standards
Manage and provide training for all kitchen staff

We’d love to talk if:
You have a current ServSafe Manager’s Certificate or ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of employment
You have written and oral English communication skills
You meet, have, or are eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications
You care about serving seniors
Bonus points if:
You have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn new applications
You have one to three years’ hospitality and supervisory experience
You possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use
You have experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
Pay Range: $17 - $19 / hour, based on experience
