The AVP, Global Internal Communications, will help guide and execute Chubb’s internal communications strategy and employee engagement across the company. As a member of the Global Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations team, this seasoned professional will possess deep expertise and professionalism in employee engagement, employing digital and video channels as well as traditional media to help realize the group’s goals.
The person will carry out the editorial direction and amplify the strategic narrative of the company across a diverse and dispersed employee stakeholder group. This accomplished practitioner will have worked in a global and highly matrixed company across B2B2C business units – helping to drive consistency and underscoring the benefits of the employee value proposition. The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Head of Global Internal Communications.
The successful candidate will help drive engagement across a full spectrum of channels and platforms, new and yet-to-be developed, measuring their effectiveness and implementing new approaches and technology enhancements, including mobile capabilities to reach employees. They will be responsible for producing fresh, creative, narratives and engaging content on the company’s strategic priorities: what makes Chubb a great place to work, our digital transformation, and how we deliver a competitive advantage to our clients, customers and intermediaries.
Specific Responsibilities
As a key member of Chubb’s Internal Communications Center of Excellence, help develop the company’s strategy and roadmap to achieve a world-class discipline serving the company’s 34,000 employees
Help develop and execute Chubb’s internal engagement plan aligned with the company’s narrative to effectively articulate its vision, mission, strategy and successes
Understand the various personas of our employee base and create compelling channels, content, messaging, packaging and repurposing of news and information that is tailored for these audiences – from individuals in the field, across all regions, newly acquired employees, corporate functions, etc.
Serve as editor of the company’s global news channel, collaborating with regional, functional and business-unit teams to identify, curate and publish content to inform, engage and inspire employees.
Surface ideas and enhancements to stimulate employee experiences including programs, events, and interactions that demonstrate the company’s ambitions and growth
Working with the SVP, Head of Global Internal Communications, contribute to a wide variety of content in multiple forms to reinforce Chubb’s culture, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and the initiatives and milestones of the business resource groups. Highlight Chubb’s ESG and climate efforts and progress.
Help measure, track and continuously improve employee engagement metrics. Move to a new internal communicator-friendly platform that demonstrates real-time results, open rates and change course as needed to respond to changing workforce demands and behaviors. Conduct focus groups and pilot projects to ensure Chubb is adapting to new and more efficient ways of communicating
Assist in update and/or creation of tools for internal/marcomms use, e.g.:
New designs for mass emails, global town halls, videos, newsletters, blogs, etc.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus. 10+ years of corporate communications, PR agency, consultancy, journalism and/or marketing experience
Exceptional, demonstrable writing and editing skills, including ability to synthesize complex, sometimes esoteric financial and insurance-related materials and craft creative, persuasive content for global audiences
Experience producing/managing videos, town halls and Intranet channels
Innovative approach to content types – thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, video, audio, in-person experiences and other channels and content-delivery approaches
Excellent verbal communication skills
Preferable industries include insurance, financial services and technology
Must be comfortable with highly matrixed, global environments
Periodic need to extend or adjust schedule for work across multiple time zones to meet/collaborate with colleagues in Asia and other continents
M&A experience a plus
Creative, results-oriented problem-solver with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with resilience, intellectual curiosity and adaptability
Analytical thinking and ability to integrate input from multiple stakeholders while working on deadlines
Strong project management and organizational skills with aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven work environment

Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite and Excel; advanced skills a plus, e.g., internal comms software platforms, Adobe, SharePoint
