Job Description:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday, day shift. Occasional needs to be onsite during evening and night shift to connect with staff. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Nurse Manager to:  


  • Support a dynamic environment conducive to achieving quality patient outcomes and recruitment and retention of engaged staff.

  • Plan, organize, monitor and coordinate day-to-day emergency department operations.

  • Lead process improvement efforts to mature operational processes using evidence and innovation.

  • Participate in strategic planning and utilize available tools to bring the strategic plan to your frontline team.

Education:

Minimum – Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).

Preferred – Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum – Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience and demonstrated progressive leadership experience.

Preferred – Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within same or relevant practice area.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – RN Licensed in State of Wisconsin.

Preferred – Certification in relevant specialty.
