Laboratory Analyst – Pharmaceutical LCMS

When you work as an Analyst in the Pharmaceutical Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) lab at KCAS, you get to further our mission by working under senior Pharma LCMS scientists to contribute to the success of our clients.  The Pharma LCMS lab team uses their knowledge in GLP and GCP methods to support clients’ regulatory submissions for drug discovery, preclinical, and clinical studies, including bioanalysis of drugs and metabolites, biomarkers, and active endogenous compounds in biological fluids and tissues. As a new or recent graduate early in your scientific career, you’ll work under the guidance of lead (group ) scientists to identify critical experiments, deliver results, and learn first-hand about (area).

You’ll get to be directly responsible for:

• Processing, preparing, analyzing, and verifying samples, laboratory solutions, reagents, method development, and reports


• Preparing study records and data summaries for senior scientists to aid in client updates and for archiving


• Independently creating basic experiment plans and setting up instrument configurations

You’ll do all this in graduated sterile labs, as part of our new state-of-the-art building constructed explicitly for our purposes. You’ll have the opportunity to rapidly advance your career and learn under the mentorship of senior scientists and other leaders while using the latest technology and having the benefit of a casual work environment.

And everyday, you’ll be part of decisions and work that pioneers the latest drug development in human and animal healthcare.

To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:

• BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other life science field


• Some exposure to, or prior experience with GLP documentation, pipetting (air displacement and or/positive displacement, volumetric, etc), and extraction (such as protein precipitation, solid phase, or liquid/liquid)


• Basic ability to use (or to learn) balances, pH meter, centrifuge, and a volumetric flask


• Coachable and curious, with strong desire to learn and grow in Pharma LCMS


• Detail-oriented and commitment to quality, safety, accuracy, and reliability


• Ability to prioritize while working across multiple projects

Depending on your background and qualifications, we may consider hiring you for one of two levels of Analyst roles at KCAS.  This will be determined during the interview process.
