Job Description Summary
Oldcastle Precast is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Stone Mountain Manufacturing Plant. This position reports directly to the area Engineering Manager. The duties involve inspection, testing, documentation, and quality assurance checks on precast and drycast products produced in the factory to assure the product is produced per engineering drawings and specifications. The job is very hands on and requires working with production leadman and other factory workers on floor building product.
Job Description
Pre-pour inspection checks as required -- wet cast and dry cast operations
Post-pour inspection checks as required -- wet cast and dry cast operations
Monitor production operations as required
Daily wet concrete tests for production pours
Assist with monthly aggregate gradation testing as necessary
Assist with daily concrete compression tests - wet cast and dry cast operations
Reporting and documentation on non-conforming product to supervisor and upper Management
Other laboratory or inspection related duties as deemed necessary by QC Manager
Qualifications

Requirements
1-3 years previous experience in Construction or Manufacturing Industry as inspector or general laborer
Strong history of work site attendance compliance
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
Understanding of basic geometry
Ability to use a variety of computer programs including MS Office Products or similar spreadsheet programs
Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent organization and communication skills
Self-motivated and strong ability to take initiative
Conflict management and resolution skillset
ACI Field Testing Certification Level 1 - Highly desired or ability to obtain in 3 mo.
GDOT Inspections Certifications (QPL-9 or QPL-4) - Highly desired or ability to obtain in 3 mo.
Physical Requirements
Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
