Manage formulation chemists and technicians in development of new household products. Including but not limited to hard surface disinfectants, bleach, multipurpose cleaners, aerosol cleaners and floor & carpet cleaners.
Prioritized formulation in accordance with corporate goals, set milestones/critical path and ensures on-time project completion.
Investigates new technologies for application in novel products and new categories.
Creates reviews and approves technical documents to support developmental projects. (i.e., Technical Presentations, Technical Dossier, Ingredient Statements, Manufacturing Formula Batch Record, Costs Formulas).
Active participant in stage gate meetings & innovation strategy sessions.
Manage collaboration with suppliers & service providers as part of our innovation ecosystem.
Develops robust manufacturing processes for new product development projects. Partner with Operations and other internal departments regarding pilot plant/scale up activities.
Develops specifications for new and/or reformulated product insuring quality.
Provides technical assistance related to product formula to support departments and key accounts as required.
Good working knowledge of household raw material functionality, interactions within formulation and use levels.
Sources and approves new and/or alternate raw materials adhering to global Regulatory & Quality requirements.
Creates, updates and ensures adherence to R&D standard operating procedures.

Strict compliance and enforcement of all company safety rules, procedures and guidelines.
Ability to communicate clearly and simply both orally and in writing.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related Biological Science.
Familiar with general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations preferred.
Experience working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interference.
Experience: 7- 10 years of formulation experience. Preferred experience in Household cleaners, Industrial & Institutional (HI&I) or disinfectants
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience
Proficient with MS Office products. ERP experience preferred.
US EPA registered disinfectant experience preferred.
