Summary

This sample coordinator is responsible for producing and maintaining stock of diverse architectural masonry product samples. This position is also responsible for fulfilling sample orders and shipping samples to designated recipients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain an inventory of product samples that are ready to ship to architects, contractors, and members of the sales team

  • Build sample kits and sample boards for library inventory and to fulfill custom requests

  • Safely operate a masonry saw to cut and fabricate samples

  • Coordinate shipping of samples and sample boards to customers

  • Package and ship sample and mock-up panel materials to jobsites on request

  • Package sample appropriately to ensure products reach the destination intact and in presentable condition

  • Maintain a clean and presentable work area

  • Use a forklift to move materials as needed

  • Manage and organize the sample yard materials and coordinate with architectural scheduler for sample production

  • Maintain a relationship with sister companies provide our samples or request their samples to facilitate cross selling of products

  • Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors/managers with other duties as required

  • Display a professional, positive, and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and customers

  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated area as stated by OSHA and company policy

  • Available to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary. Reliable attendance is essential in performance of the role

Requirements/Education/Experience


  • Minimum high school/general education degree (GED) required.

  • Previous related experience in building materials, concrete block, brick, or tile manufacturing is preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of masonry and hardscapes products, building materials, and cements is preferred.

  • Must possess computer aptitude, the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, and the ability to lean new computer skills.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills

  • Must possess time management skills.

  • Must be able to see and detect colors and color ranges

Requirements/Education/Experience

This position operates in multiple environments to include office, warehouse, and production settings. Must be able to lift products that are 50+ lbs. Job requires bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, and reaching.
