Job Description:

Maintains grounds and facilities as assigned.

• Includes cleaning, repairing, mowing, trimming, weeding, sweeping and snow/ice control.
• Performs minor repairs of grounds and equipment.
• The incumbent for this position is responsible for the safe and efficient use of department equipment and for minor maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Requires at least 2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems.
• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems.
• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools.
• Prefer prior Casino/Hotel experience.
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
• Excellent customer and employee relation's skills.
• Verbal communications skills.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards.
• Knowledge of and compliance with department, property and company policies and procedures.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
• Customer Feedback - Internal and External Guest letters and comment cards, verbal feedback.
• Teamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operation.
