Under the direction of the Cardiologist, the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will assist with cardiac catheterization, Swan Ganz, pacemaker, TEE/CV, IABP, Percutaneous Coronary Interventional procedures, and other minor procedures that require moderate sedation administration. Additionally, the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will assist physicians with scrub duties, acting circulator, setting up trays, case documentation, prepare and position patients, provide radiation protection to patients, maintain controlled drug inventory according to policy, assure crash cart and drug box are supplied and dated, inventory maintenance, supply ordering, and mentor new-hires. 

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will be knowledgeable about the sterile supplies and techniques utilized for different procedure areas and has prior experience operating and maintaining equipment used in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Ideally, the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will gave their ARRT, ACLS, and BLS certification with prior experience working in a cardiovascular-interventional radiology department.
