We've provided structure and enclosure systems, components, and accessories for virtually every kind of project including corporate, cultural, government, educational, institutional, multi-unit residential buildings, sports stadiums and arenas, retail, industrial, correctional facilities, and warehouse structures. We are currently searching for a CNC Operator 

 

The CNC Operator will be responsible to cut wood material and/or build wood form parts for mold shop. Build form components to meet production requirements. Setup and operate multi-axis CNC wood machine as needed.  Download CNC/CAM programs and perform basic edits as needed.  Work from blueprints, standard work procedures, schedules, and other instructions to accurately run assigned jobs.  Detect deficiencies or malfunctions and work with internal resources to correct any identified issues.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

 

Setup and operate multi-axis CNC wood machine. Download CNC/CAM programs and perform basic edits as needed. Work from blueprints, standard work procedures, schedules, and other instructions to accurately run assigned jobs. Detect deficiencies or malfunctions and work with internal resources to correct any identified issues. Setup and maintain tooling. Maintain daily preventative maintenance and updated board. Must be highly responsible in following procedures and ensuring accuracy for proper setup and operation to avoid mislocated holes or other errors.

 

Areas of responsibility for our CNC Operator


  • Perform thorough review of prints, schedules, standard work procedures, and other instructions prior to starting the assigned job. 

  • Download program and assure correct dimensions between program and drawings prior to drilling.

  • Visually inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability. Change cutting tools as needed to maximize tool life.

  • Observe machine operation to assess accuracy of machine settings and tolerances. Correct detected malfunctions prior to running the job.

  • Layout and mark products prior to being cut. 

  • Perform minor programming tasks as needed

Work and Educational Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED, required

  • Proficient PC navigation skills

  • Ability to perform basic edits to CNC/CAM programs

  • Strong working knowledge of blueprints
