We are seeking to add a motivated Mold Operator/Inspector to our team, on 2nd shift. The Mold Operator/Inspector is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a Molding machine. This position will also inspect the product produced and determine if it is acceptable and meets quality specifications. The second shift works Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:15 am.
What you will do:
Operate an injection molding machine
Operate blending machine and be able to combine raw pellets together
Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders and process sheets
Report defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to technician and/or supervisor immediately
Fill machine hoppers
Maintain personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision
Maintain records and other pertinent data as instructed or required
Be responsible for product quality - work must be inspected to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards before, during and after completion
Inspect products for surface defects and flaws
Position and secure threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold
Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
Assume cleaning responsibilities including equipment and work area
Maintain a safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-3 years' manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Versatility required to perform many and varied assembly and soldering operations manually
Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers preferred
Additional Characteristics:
Work as both an individual and in a team environment
May require standing for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day
Ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently is required for this role
May be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils
