Playing an essential role in patient safety and infection control, the Sterile Processing Supervisor will oversee a growing team of Sterilization Technologists and support staff. While you will currently have 10+ direct reports, that number is expected to grow rapidly over the next two years as this Sterile Processing site is further integrated with the associated Medical Centers, Clinics, Outpatient facilities, and Ambulatory centers.

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor oversees and actively manages an experienced and varied team of Sterile Service Technicians through the multi-parameter decontamination, assembly and processing, sterile storage, and distribution work phases. The SPD Supervisor will also ensure quality through teaching, coaching, and mentoring staff in the thorough application of, and adherence to, quality assurance processes. Good people skills are crucial in this role, as your stakeholders include staff, nurses, physicians, executives, vendors, and external organizations.
