Job Description:

Directs and leads RDC associates while maintaining a safe work environment. Oversees and meets daily operations expectations assuring efficient product flow, daily performance of associates, quality, and continuous improvement. Performance management, coaching and creating a positive associate relations environment.  Effective communication and leads by example.  Is responsible for following company policy and procedures and ensuring each associate is aware of the policies.

Scheduled Days:            Monday through Friday 


Annual Salary Range:  $50,600 to $75,000  *** based on experience and qualifications 


Incentive:  This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive Plan.  Incentive target will be 10% of your incentive eligible earnings.

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).


1.   Oversees operations for a warehouse department directing the day-to-day activities of the function.  Ensures quality, accuracy and timeliness of work completion while maintaining a safe work environment.  Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for associates and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.


2.   Leads and directs the work of associates and is responsible for hiring decisions, time & attendance,  training, work guidance, direction and delegation of duties;  ensures that all standard operating procedures are followed;  responsible for progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings;  makes recommendations for merit increases and promotions;  ensures positive associate relations.


3.   Leads effective team meetings, and communicates expectations, goals, and identifies areas of opportunities and creates plans to address gaps.


4.   Responsible for department reports and metrics (KPI’s) regarding safety, quality and productivity.  Metrics specific to staffing levels, staffing plan, cross-training with I/O Manager.


5.   Utilizes lean methodology to improve process and drive Distribution Center optimization projects to help control/reduce costs.  Explores and implements changes in area of responsibility to continuously improve/enhance efficiency and/or performance.


6.   Develops and fosters an atmosphere of high employee morale through an active, fair and consistent implementation of policies and procedures.


Education & Experience


·    High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.


·    3-5 years of experience, preferably in Distribution, Supply Chain, Warehousing or similar industry.


.     Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements


·        Position requires frequent standing, walking with occasional sitting, carrying, bending, occasional lifting 20 to 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching and gripping as well as constant seeing and hearing.


Work Environment: Generally, works in a distribution center environment and may work indoor/outdoor and in heat/cold).
