Summary: Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an Environmental / Industrial Hygiene Technician for the Billings, Montana office. 1-2 years of experience in environmental, asbestos, lead, and indoor air quality related projects and current certifications as an asbestos inspector, asbestos contractor/supervisor, lead inspector, NIOSH 582 certification, and hazwoper desired but not required. Construction experience preferred. Current driver's license required. Clear driving record within company standards. Must pass company background checks including drug screen.

Your Role:

• This position requires field and office activities on environmental projects, asbestos inspections, lead-based paint inspections, indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, and abatement oversight and monitoring projects primarily at project sites throughout Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
• Work activities will include conducting asbestos and lead-based paint inspections, overseeing asbestos abatement projects, collecting air samples, and preparing reports. Ideal candidate will also be trained in construction materials testing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
• 1-2 years previous environmental, asbestos, lead, and IAQ experience preferred but not required.
• Asbestos inspector, contractor supervisor, lead, NIOSH, and hazwoper certifications desired but not required.
• A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must Posses a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $18.00 / hour to $24.00 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
