Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Quality Systems Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, this position will be responsible for reviewing and resolving process and product quality issues to prevent reoccurrence and to facilitate the management of customer complaints through effective internal and customer communication. This position reports to directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.


  • Support the Quality Management System (QMS)


  • Perform frequent audits of the manufacturing facility to ensure conformance with requirements


  • Manage internal and external corrective actions using a variety of problem solving techniques,


  • Monitor trends in key quality metrics


  • Manage department related continual improvement activities


  • Perform product inspections for customer acceptance and improvement


  • Develop and administer quality training to the Portland facility


  • Monitor and manage the calibration system


  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering


  • 2-5 years’ work experience in a high volume manufacturing facility


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel


  • Experience in facilitating and solving quality problems using a variety of corrective action tools and evaluate Root Cause


  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 or other relevant Quality System


  • Ability to solve problems and strong decision making skills


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and work in a team environment


  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
