As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be asked to test and maintain the integrity and accuracy of next-generation data products. This is a hands-on role that requires coding. Our product suite spans from medical devices that a patient wears to mobile apps, up to our back-end servers so this is a challenging task, and one that requires very critical thinking to ensure the system performs well

A Day in the Life

• Develops and executes interface test scenarios and test scripts for complex business rules using available ETL tools
• Perform root cause analysis, database validation, and data defect identification using SQL
• Create/Identify test data to validate functional and technical requirements
• Reviews customer requirements and specifications to ensure that tests will confirm that these are satisfied
• Identify process improvements and provide a strategic direction to resolution
• Work with programmers or manually updates systems to resolve data problems
• Work closely with product engineering, product marketing, quality, and the systems teams to ensure the product works properly from end-to-end, both pre and post-release.
• Be familiar with Agile processes, Atlassian suite of tools.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Design, develop, debug, and unit test software components, tools, and utilities.
• Determines systems software design requirements.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Work in an agile/scrum environment.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• 4 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences
• 2 years of software engineering experience with a Master's degree in Engineering or Sciences

Nice to Have

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
• Experience writing test automation using Python
• Strong SQL experience and interaction with various data systems.
• Ability to work with On-premise and cloud systems (AWS)
• Results-oriented, persistent, and meticulous
• Strong commitment to technical quality assurance as a key part of the software development cycle
• Willingness to work cross-functionally
• Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and must be able to grasp issues quickly and make educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with various cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
