The Data Protection Team is a diverse group working on multiple areas in the world of data protection, private and public cloud computing, software engineering, and layered security in the enterprise. The projects utilize many traditional and unique data protection methods for layered defense in depth to complete restructuring of frameworks and management of data protection.

The Data Protection PKI/CA Engineer will collaboratively and holistically implement security controls aligned with enterprise goals.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the data protection product owner and team to execute product vision & strategy
• Provide timely subject matter expertise for critical decisions to execute goals
• Identify areas of opportunity, identify root cause, research, and provide resolution
• Architect, design, assess, and address Data Protection PKI/Certificate Authority strategies
• Communicate effectively to key stakeholders and associates
• Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a results-based team environment

Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to provide subject matter expertise and execute multiple programs/projects simultaneously
• High degree of proficiency in developing target & current state architectures, identify gaps, build a roadmap for tactical phased implementations to achieve target state
• Ability to use data and analysis to determine attack surfaces, remediation work effort, and governance to determine integrity and sustainability of controls
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross enterprise team
• Provide subject matter expertise in multiple domain focus areas including but not limited to:
• PKI Standards, FIPS-140-2/3, NIST Cryptography standards and frameworks
• Microsoft & Linux Certificate Authorities
• Certificate Lifecyle Management, OCSP, Automated Enrollment & Renewals
• Symmetric/Asymmetric Encryption & Digital Signatures
• Enterprise Key Management systems, integrations, and code signing
• Experience automating tasks with APIs or other coding languages a plus.
• Any exposure and knowledge with following are preferred;
PKI, Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), Linux Certificate Services (OpenSSL), Venafi, Entrust, Hashi Corp Vault, Thales HSMs

Experience:
• College Degree Not Required
• 5+ years working in a hands on PKI engineering or operational role
• This will be a hands-on role and the candidate must feel comfortable working with the technology in a production environment
• Experience working in or supporting financial services, insurance services, government, or a similar regulated environment preferred, but not required
• Professional security and/or technology certifications preferred, but not required

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $126,000.00 to $187,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
