Job Description:

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Safety Admin for our Corporate office in Coppell, TX.


The Safety Admin responsibilities are to provide overall direction and control over the safety personnel functions, and other administrative support functions required to support the Safety staff.


 


 


Functional Areas of Responsibility:



  • Overseeing all OSHA administrative components including new hires attendance, 300 & 301 logs for recordable injuries, scheduling trainings and maintaining database.

  • Inputting equipment & safety training into HCSS Software platform.

  • Coordinating post-accident screening with project numbers through the entire process. 

  • Maintaining monthly man hours safety report to corporate in a timely manner.

  • Assisting in reviewing/editing/creating presentations and weekly communications.

  • Monitoring and reporting on expiring training needs both safety and equipment

  • Coordination of safety meetings (locations, food/drink, etc.) Bi-annual trainings/craft day trainings.

  • Attending/translating when needed for review meetings/ safety reports.

  • Producing first report of injury forms to insurance timely after any medical case.

  • Support other departments with administrative needs if needed.

  • Serve as back up for Executive Assistant, Front Desk if needed.


 


 


Requirements:



  • 2-3 years safety administrative experience required

  • Associates degree in related field preferred – May be substituted for related experience

  • Workers comp experience and injury case management

  • Data base administration – learning management software, or other relational data base

  • Knowledge of construction, mining or heavy manufacturing industry preferred

  • DOT, OSHA and MSHA experience a plus

  • Bilingual Spanish and English language skills highly preferred

  • Proven Microsoft Office experience – Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook


    • This position requires intermediate to advanced Excel and Power Point file creation and task management


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
