Why We Need You:

PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for an experienced Manager, Organizational Effectiveness to join our community. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Organizational Effectiveness team at PEMCO, enabling the fulfillment of critical strategic business objectives.  This role serves as the company's subject matter expert in this function and is responsible for leading the Organizational Effectiveness consulting staff in who specialize in change management and project management.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Develop, maintain, and evolve PEMCO's Organizational Effectiveness (OE) approach, mindset, tools, and resources.  Oversee and manage deployment of change management and project management consultants to advance and achieve critical organizational objectives.

  • Implement a portfolio of organizational effectiveness initiatives that drive organizational health and transformational change including designing or re-engineering organizations, developing team effectiveness and high-performance teams, and managing large-scale organizational change.

  • Contribute to the development of a common language and scalable solutions supporting organizational effectiveness, change management, governance systems, and other OE related capabilities and tools; educate and develop OE understanding and capability at all levels of the organization.

  • Collaborate with company leaders to proactively address organizational effectiveness issues by assessing root causes and performance gaps and implementing appropriate interventions or solutions.

  • Identify appropriate metrics to measure the effectiveness of OE initiatives and report data-driven insights and recommendations.

  • Serve as a proxy for the department director when not available; support the director by reporting relevant updates, contributing to strategy, staffing or budget concerns.

  • Maintain relevant functional expertise (individual and team) by actively expanding consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, external networking, benchmarking, and industry participation and leadership.

  • Enable the use of feedback tools and transitions to evolve the organization including how to listen for and respond to feedback; work with internal partners to create and execute plans that capitalize on strengths and develop weaknesses, and adapt to competing demands and new responsibilities.

  • Manage department budget and resources responsibly.

  • Manage a team of direct (and indirect) reports, with performance management and development responsibilities.

  • Execute on strategy with precision through establishing effective teams and leading others in analyzing and solving complex problems.

  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.

What You'll Bring:


  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (Organizational Effectiveness, or related business field)

  • 6 years of experience in cross-enterprise roles with a focus on organizational effectives, business transformation, process improvement, and/or change management with increasing scope, scale or complexity is required

  • Experience leading and managing others, preferably in internal or external consulting functions, is required

  • Experience delivering value in new start-up functions and teams is required

  • Experience consulting with all levels of leadership - executive, director, and manager - is required

  • Certifications or coursework in related functions of Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Lean, Project Management (organizational development and/or leadership, CCMP, PMP, etc.) is preferred


  • MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is required


  • Job Specific: Deep knowledge, experience, and expertise in Organizational Effectiveness functions, methodologies, and related tools, with proven ability to transfer subject matter understanding and knowledge to a wide variety of audiences is required


  • Job specific: Maintain external network and relationships in functional areas of expertise (organizational effectiveness, business transformation project management, change management) is preferred

Work Location:

This position has a flexible work location It can be hybrid out of the Greater Seattle and Spokane areas, or remote from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, or Texas.
