The Treasury Department is looking for a Manager (9P) position in the Regulatory Coordination and Advocacy team within the Stakeholder Management & Capital Framework group.

This role plays an important role in supporting the various regulatory activities and initiatives related to Prudential’s group supervision by various regulatory bodies. The candidate in this role will help respond to various regulatory requests and engage with multiple business partners within Treasury and throughout the company from departments such as Enterprise Risk Management, Global Portfolio Management, Actuarial, Business Unit Finance, Controllers, Law and Compliance. The Manager is also expected to support enterprise regulatory advocacy efforts, including emerging domestic and global regulatory capital standards. The manager will help coordinate the annual Insurance Capital Standard (ICS) project, prepare excel files to collect, review and analyze data submitted by all internal stakeholders. In addition, the Manager will support the creation of presentations to Senior executives and Prudential’s Board on topics that may go beyond group regulation and are driven by broad strategic initiatives. Lastly, the Manager will be involved in the coordination of regulatory examinations by Prudential’s regulators. The position is a high visibility opportunity to learn the various regulatory regimes under which Prudential operates, in addition to a gaining a broad knowledge of Prudential’s business and organization.

There are frequent opportunities to work across the Stakeholder Management and Capital Framework team, as well as collaborate within the Treasury Department and the broader enterprise community and gain additional exposure to senior management.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the coordination of regulatory exams, such as the quinquennial exam, reviews and other information requests from NJDOBI or other regulators
• Assist preparing updates, presentations, and analysis of key regulatory issues and activities for senior management
• Help prepare ad hoc analysis and presentations for senior management, the Board and regulators, that provide analysis and insight into key strategic initiatives
• Maintain working relationships with other internal stakeholders, as mentioned above
• Develop an understanding of the emerging domestic and global capital standards that may impact Prudential
• Support of the company’s regulatory advocacy efforts, both domestically and internationally

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, with specialization in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications (MBA, CPA, CFA or FSA) a plus
• 3-5 years of financial planning and analysis, accounting, actuarial or other related experience with strong analytical skills
• Good knowledge of the insurance industry and related concepts, including GAAP, statutory and required capital
• Critical thinking and problem-solving experience
• Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel skills preferred
• A team player with strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects
