Senior Customer Service Associate in Group Insurance and Benefits

Prudential’s Group Insurance (GI) National Account Organization (NAO) is seeking a Senior Customer Services Associate. The Associate will be responsible for on-site dedicated day to day claims service for their assigned National Account client. This position requires establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with the client and all members resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction. This position also entails working closely with the National Account Management team to meet the client and Prudential’s goals and objectives. This position reports to the Director, Client Services.

This position is 100% on-site at 22 Cortlandt St. New York, NY.

Daily activities include but are not limited to:
• Provide routine claim support including processing and data verification for Basic Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment claims.
• Partner with Prudential’s Group Life Claims area to monitor claim receipt and status, and to provide additional information when needed.
• Process new member enrollment applications, reinstatements and status changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Respond to member inquiries and issues with a sense of urgency via phone and email.
• Assist National Account on-site support team as needed.

Qualifications:
• High School degree or equivalent required
• A minimum of two years experience with group insurance benefits, and policies
• A detail-orientated individual with strong analytic, organization and time management skills
• Strong customer service focus

• Strong follow-up skills to ensure resolution and closure
• Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines, performance guarantees, and customer inquiries
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal business areas to satisfy customer’s expectations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
